Self Service Dog Wash
Walk In, Wash Up, Wag Out
Here at Forestside Grooming, I offer professional dog grooming services, but I know that not everyone wants to leave their dog with someone else to get a bath – they’d prefer to do it themselves. If you want to wash your dog, but need somewhere to do it, I have a self service dog wash facility. It’s a great way to take care of your dog’s bath yourself, while enjoying the benefits of a dedicated dog washing area. If you’d like to find out more, please get in touch.
Before Using The Self Service Dog Wash
- Select the right height in the bath for your dog. Use the pull down platform for small dogs, while large dogs can just walk in
- Secure your dog using the grooming noose. Slip it over their head and, once secure, remove their collar
- If you have more than one dog, secure the other dog to the tie up ring
- Shut and bolt the shed door if necessary
Washing Your Dog
- Touch screen to start and select 10 minute wash. Pay by contactless card reader
- Take hold of shower hose
- Select rinse and wet dog
- When soaked, select shampoo type. This will be dispensed via the shower head
- Massage the shampoo into your dog’s fur. You have option to pause the machine whilst doing this
- When thoroughly clean, select rinse and wash off all shampoo suds until coat is squeaky clean
- You then have the option to condition coat and rinse as before
- Replace shower hose
Drying Your Dog
- Take the black dryer hose and select dryer on the machine
- You have the option to turn up or down the dryer’s air velocity using the dial
- For nervous dogs, please use the snood provided to cover their ears
- For best results, dry in the direction the coat grows, blasting out water and loose hairs. This is great for de-shedding!
- Can top up your drying time from £2.50
- When finished, please remove all shed hair and wipe down the self service dog wash with the paper towels provided
